Formatting Guidelines

Manuscript Formatting Requirements

To ensure consistency and facilitate the review and publication process, authors are asked to follow the formatting guidelines below when preparing their manuscripts for submission to the Journal of Interdisciplinary Innovation (JII):

  1. Page Size: Use A4-sized paper (210mm × 297mm).

  2. Margins: Set margins of 1 inch (2.5 cm) on all sides—top, bottom, left, and right.

  3. Font and Size: Use Times New Roman, 12-point font throughout the entire manuscript.

  4. Line Spacing: All text, including the abstract, main body, references, endnotes, and appendices, should be double-spaced.

  5. Page Numbers: Number all pages consecutively, starting with the abstract page.

Please ensure that the manuscript file is saved in the native format of your word processing software (e.g., .doc or .docx for Microsoft Word).

  • Use a single-column layout for the entire document.

  • Keep formatting as minimal and clean as possible. Complex formatting codes will be removed during the production process.

  • Equations and tables should be created using the built-in tools of the word processor. Do not use images or graphic design software to embed them.

  • Figures should not be inserted directly into the text file. Instead, clearly indicate their approximate placement within the manuscript (e.g., [Insert Figure 1 here]) and submit each figure as a separate file.

  • To minimize typographical and grammatical errors, it is strongly recommended that authors utilize the spell-check and grammar-check functions before submitting their work.
