The Journal of Interdisciplinary Innovation (JII) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal committed to advancing knowledge, research, and practical understanding across a diverse range of academic and professional disciplines. JII provides a dynamic platform for high-quality, original research that transcends traditional academic silos, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration to address the complex challenges of the modern world.
With a focus on bridging theoretical inquiry and real-world application, JII welcomes both theoretical and empirical contributions that demonstrate the value of integrating insights from multiple disciplines. The journal actively encourages submissions from fields including—but not limited to—Interdisciplinary Studies, Innovation Studies, Research and Development (R&D), Social Sciences, Business and Economics, Education, Technology, and Engineering.
JII particularly values research that:
-
Integrates methods, theories, or conceptual frameworks from two or more academic fields to generate new insights;
-
Addresses pressing societal, technological, or industrial challenges through collaborative, cross-disciplinary approaches;
-
Proposes novel ideas, models, and practices that can shape future academic inquiry and innovation policy;
-
Explores the evolving role of innovation in both public and private sector development.
By promoting forward-thinking, boundary-spanning research, JII seeks to establish itself as a global forum for scholars, educators, researchers, and practitioners who are committed to interdisciplinary dialogue and innovation-driven progress. The journal is published quarterly and is open to contributions from across the globe.
